Lasagna Cook Off

Join us for out First Annual Sister City Lasagna Cook Off! The Lasagna Competition will be judged by local celebrities. Your $25 ticket covers all you can eat lasagna, salad, gelato and a glass of wine. Reduced ticket prices for children under 16. Italian Variety Show is by The Mountain Page Players.

LASAGNA COOKOFF ENTRY INFORMATION - For the cooks

Thank you for your interest in our kickoff competition and we appreciate your help in promoting the goals of the Saluda City Sister organization and our work with our Saluda children and our ties to Carunchio, Italy.  

The DEADLINE FOR ENTRY IS JANUARY 20, 2024.  Once you have registered, we will provide you with a standard 10"x18" lasagna pan. The pan can be picked up at Looking Glass Realty in Saluda next to the post office. Please only use this pan for your submission. 

There will be two winners at the competition – Judges Choice and the Peoples Choice.  Your entry will be anonymous until the judging is complete. Entries will be judged on TASTE, APPEARANCE, AND TEXTURE and may be made of any ingredients (chicken, meat, seafood, vegetable.s, etc) and any type of sauce. Let your culinary and creative skills shine! 

Should there be lasagna left at the end of the night Saluda Sister City would like to sell it in take home containers as part of the fundraiser. In Italy this is called Porta Via.
